Chronic Pain

Some substance abuse disorders begin as a result of very real, intense, and improperly managed chronic pain. These cases can be incredibly complex and must be handled very carefully to prevent further trauma and suffering. When pain clients come to us after finding themselves addicted, we start with holistic investigations to identify the source of the problem. After helping our clients detox, we work to create a plan that combines physical therapy techniques, talk therapy, and holistic modalities to prevent, minimize, and otherwise control a person’s pain levels with as little medication as is possible. Therapists empower clients to change how they think about pain and resolving it, emphasizing whole-body wellness. Some clients go on to require little to no medication, while others are better able to find alternatives and reduce dosages drastically over time.
When admitted into the Los Angeles chronic pain management programs, you will have already taken a crucial first step in your recovery. In addition to helping clients pursue successful pain recovery through substance abuse treatment programs, we also offer addiction treatment for alcoholism and other drug dependencies that factor pain recovery into the solution. Our revolutionary approach to chronic pain treatment, led by Dr. Ryan Peterson, is geared toward reducing pain levels and increasing function in our clients without the use of opiates.
